Our journey this week covered 76.8 miles. The longest week so far and included 2 17 mile days. I find the walks are a bit longer than indicated in our itinerary. Both of these days were listed as 15+ miles. Maybe I stagger to much and don’t walk in a straight line. The hardest part cane yesterday with a hike up a steep hill. The grade has to be greater than 10% and over a mile in length. The reward was a very beautiful view of the valley below. The rest of the day was relatively flat. The journey this week was primarily through fields of wheat and sunflowers. Not a lot of shade with temperatures in the 80’s. Definitely sunscreen days.

I find one day runs into another. All kind of the same, get up, pray, stretch, eat breakfast, walk, get to the hotel, clean up and rest, celebrate or attend mass, eat dinner, go to bed, repeat the next day. I look forward to a rest day each Sunday.
