This week the journey consisted pretty much of 10 -13 mile days. On Thursday we hit the highest point on the French Way of the Camino at 4915 feet. The climbing wasn’t as difficult as the decent. For about 6 miles we decended down steep slopes with loose rock, and rough and uneven terrains. One really had to watch each step to avoid twisting an ankle or falling. The going was so slow that on Saturday my average pace was 1.5 miles per hour.
I find it interesting that on Friday I could see a town ahead, which we reached Saturday, from about 12 miles away, yet the town we were headed for and stayed at on Friday I did not see until we were less than a mile away.
Spirituality the Lord is working. I keep bumping into messages about love, gentleness, and compassion. Today (Sunday) was a pretty strong message. We will see where this goes. Well God bless you all and another update next Sunday.
